Phil, Doctorate in due course of time. The Christ College as affiliated to Barkatullah University (formerly known as Bhopal University), which is a member of Association of Indian Universities, Delhi, is bound by the rules and regulations of the University and strictly follows its Curricula. Barkatullah University conducts both Theory and Practical Examinations including the Viva-Voce of the B. Ed and M. Ed students and awards the respective degrees.
Christ College is primarily a Teacher Training Institute offering one year B. Ed in due course of time. The B. Ed course was opened in the college with the Permission from School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh Government, Recognition (NCTE College Code: 223222) from Western Regional Committee (WRC) of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) through a Publication in the Gazette of India -Part-III, Section-IV, No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Department of Higher Education, Government of M. P. and Affiliation to Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
The Christ College as affiliated to Barkatullah University (formerly known as Bhopal University), a member of Association of Indian Universities, Delhi, is bound by the rules and regulations of the University and strictly follows its B. Ed Curriculum. Barkatullah University conducts both Theory and Practical Examinations of the students and awards the B. Ed degree. The admission to the B. Ed colleges in Madhya Pradesh is totally controlled and supervised by the Higher Education Department of the State Government of Madhya pradesh through online registration and counselling on the basis of raking in the qualifying examination marks. The minimum percentage of mark in undergraduate degree or Postgraduate is 50% for general category and 45% for SC/ST. 25% of seats in B. Ed colleges are allotted to the students from outside M.P.
Its first batch brought home a spectacular result in the University B. Ed examination with 100% pass result snatching away two University Ranks: Ranks III and VI in the University Merit List. The successive batches too are following suit with the second batch bagging the Rank II of the University Merit List of B. Ed. The trend of the glorious past is kept on through the every consecutive batches.
Christ College embarked upon its prestigious M. Ed programme starting with its first Batch of 35 students with the maximum intake during the academic year 2010-11. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) accorded recognition to the M. Ed course of one year allotting the college code 225164 after getting the No Objection Certificate from the Higher Education Department of M. P. followed by the affiliation to the Barkatullah University. The qualifying examination to the admission to the M. Ed course is Postgraduate and B. Ed with 50% marks each in both the degrees. The admission is given on the basis of merit along with written tests and interviews.
