Internal Quality Assurance Cell

Setting up IQAC in the institution is one of the mechanisms to create, utilize infrastructural facilities- physical & cognitive is mandatory as part this directive, Christ College of Education had set up IQAC in the year 2013-14.

IQAC is part of the institution’s system and works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Christ College was initiated on 1st December 2013 for proper channelization of academic and managerial excellence.

Objectives

  • To ensure efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  • To enhance and integrate the various activities of the institutions and institutionalizing many good practices.
  • To provide a sound basis for decision making to improve institutional functioning
  • To act as an agent of change in the institution
  • To develop better internal communication
  • To provide quality infrastructure i.e. physical & cognitive in the institution
  • To inculcate the positive attitude in the staff and human resources and to develop capabilities accordingly.
  • To nurture the value of work among trainees for integration of curricular activities to life experiences.
  • To develop life skills and soft skills in learners.
  • To develop needful strategies among the learners and teachers.
  • To coordinate well with oneself and others.
  • To have clear assessment of strengths and weaknesses.
  • To develop a right rapport between HODs, faculty, teachers and learners.
  • To take right decisions at appropriate time.
  • To document the various activities of teachers and learners.
  • To nurture organizational and managerial skills among the teachers.
  • To entrust additional responsibility in the smooth functioning of the institution.
  • To ensure quality parameters in the institutional environment.
  • To develop a keen outlook towards community.
  • To provide guidance in planning and monitoring of the institutional works.
  • To involve the participation of stakeholders & beneficiaries in the institution for quality enhancement activities.
  • To have earned respect for integrity and excellence in teaching, learning & research.

Functions of IQAC

  • Organizing workshops, seminars on quality related themes.
  • Enabling the awareness on research techniques.
  • Ensuring qualitative measures in teaching, learning and evaluative practices.
  • Encouraging collaborative learning strategies
  • Integrating ICT in classroom.
  • Acting as nodal agency of the institutions.
  • Organizing the programmes for professional growth and development.
  • Developing documentation of various activities.

Composition of IQAC

The IQAC was constituted in Christ College under the chairmanship of the Head of the institution Prof. Fr. Johnson S.V. along with IQAC coordinator Dr. Diwakar Singh and a few administrative and academic members and representatives of local community on 1st December 2013.

The composition of IQAC was selected on the basis of the capacities and skills.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell in Christ College is constituted on 1st December 2013 for realizing the goals of quality enhancement.

It is initiated for the proper channelization of academic & managerial excellence. Several precautions were taken while selecting the members. Members are chosen based on the different backgrounds who have excellence in teaching and research and knowledge in ICT and who are aware of ground realities of the institution.
