The Bharat Raksha Rath was flagged off from Christ College, Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Minister Shri PC Sharma was also present on the occasion. He said that it is a unique and happy coincidence that this year Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan are on the same day. This is due to the promptness, sacrifice and dedication of the brave soldiers posted on the borders of our country. He praised this innovative initiative of Navdunia. This innovative programme was to collect and send Rakhi or Rakshasutra to the soldiers of the country serving on the borders to tie the defense thread.
Blood Donation Camp
Christ College organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Bhopal Memorial Hospital Bhopal. Staff, students and volunteers donated blood in the camp.
Corona Awareness Programme
As the pandemic COVID 19 gripped the world the need for masks and sanitizers increased drastically and because of the heavy demand the producers could not satisfy the need of the masses. Students of Christ College, realizing the need of the hour started making masks for the needy. The masks made were then distributed to various healthcare centres. The objective of the activity was to spread awareness about the ways to protect oneself during corona virus attack (COVID 19).
Donation Drive
A tradition of contributing to the society by sharing articles like clothes, food, stationery etc. was continued this year as well through a donation drive organized between 7th and 18th December 2019. Everyone teachers, students and the management contributed clothes, blankets, food articles and stationery for the needy people of the neighbourhood. The same were distributed in a nearby village. This added to the spirit of Christmas. The objective behind this drive was not only to contribute to the needy of the society but also to inculcate the value of sharing among the students.
Awareness Programme on Swachh Bharat
To create awareness on Swachh Bharat, Principal and staff of Christ College initiated a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 21st September 2019 at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Ayodhya Bye-pass Road Bhopal. It is a mission to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of Bhopal city and rural areas. On the Occasion all the staff members pledged to keep their environment clean and devote 2-3 hours for cleaning the community.
Health Awareness Programme and Old Age Home Visit
Teacher Training Programme for the teachers of the Pathfinder and the Green City schools
A teacher training program was organized for the untrained teachers of the Pathfinder and the Green City schools. The intention of the program was to teach various micro-teaching skills to those teachers who are serving the society by teaching under privileged students but have failed to do B.Ed. The purpose was to empower the teachers with the skill of teaching so that they can groom those under privileged students better and help them become empowered. The program was attended by 18 teachers from both the schools. The program was for 15 days from 9 September to 30th September 2019 (excluding holidays).
